Policy overview

This Policy is applicable only to the use of cookies by Ridouts Professional Services PLC and SabaKast Security Suite. It does not cover in detail the cookies generated by other third parties (including advertisers or social media organisations). The Ridouts website uses a variety of cookies, which we have broken down as follows.

 Social media cookies

Ridouts is active on three social media platforms. Our presence in the Twitter, YouTube and LinkedIn communities strengthens our online presence and visibility.

  • The Ridout website does not set cookies with the display of links to our social media channels when you are browsing our website;
  • You can watch Ridout videos, which we upload (embed) to our Blog section. You can also follow links from our website to Twitter and LinkedIn;
  • In order to watch a Ridout video on our website, you must enable third party cookies within the cookies settings section which can be found at the bottom left of the page. YouTube has its own cookie and privacy policies over which we have no control. There is no installation of cookies from YouTube until you consent to YouTube cookies;
  • Similarly, by clicking on the LinkedIn button on our website, you will be re-directed to the LinkedIn site, which has its own cookie and privacy policies over which we have no control;

The display of our Twitter feed on this website uses a cookie-free component. Clicking on the Twitter icon on this website will re-direct you to the Twitter site, which has its own cookie and privacy policies over which we have no control.

Strictly Necessary Cookies (SNC) are used for security purposes. We use these cookies to ensure that users of the Ridouts website are safe and secure. Additionally SNC’s are used for purpose of maintaining the uptime of the website.

Ridouts is active on three social media platforms. Our presence in the Twitter, YouTube and LinkedIn communities strengthens our online presence and visibility.

  • Our Twitter feed does not hold or transmit any data or cookies to users of the website.
  • Our LinkedIn button does not store any cookies or information on any users of the Ridouts website.
  • Ridouts’ website has YouTube Embedded video content within the webinar section of the site. For the purpose of displaying this content, cookies are enabled. Please be aware that if these cookies are disabled you will no longer be able to view the webinar content on the website.

Analytics

Google analytics uses cookies for the purpose of collecting information about how visitors use our website. These cookies collect information in an anonymous form.  Security and Functionality

 We currently use a website security tool called ‘SabaKast Security Suite’ which allows us to monitor, track and log any and all activity on our website, we use this information soley for security purposes, to keep users and the Firm’s web data secure. Certain cookies used with this security suite are essential in order to be able to view and run the website. 

All of the security we use on the website is part of our strictly necessary cookies. Without any of our security features enabled, this would negatively impact the performance of the website and leave users and Ridouts at risk. Below is a breakdown of what our security cookies capture.

  • Location: country, region, city, approximate latitude and longitude
  • (Geolocation)
  • Date and time of the request (visit to the site)
  • Title of the page being viewed (Page Title)
  • URL of the page being viewed (Page URL)
  • Login attempts made
  • Failed login attempts
