The Workforce Development fund is offering targeted funding to specifically develop care managers and their deputies. For the first time, care home managers can apply for dedicated funding to develop their skills and knowledge. There is hope that the dedicated funding will enable managers to delegate more and share the workload. There are currently 21,000 registered care managers in the UK.
