CQC set our new agreements with health insurers

Topics covered: Ridouts professional advice

On the 15 May 2018 CQC set out how they will work effectively with four health insurers (AXA, BUPA, AVIVA and Vitality) in new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) agreements.

Within these agreements the health insurers have committed to share information with CQC about the quality and safety of independent healthcare services. Insurance companies hold important data about the quality of care of providers they commission from, and data from experiences from claimants using those services.

Information shared with CQC following the agreements will also cover issues of concerns and information about good practice and improvements.
