CQC’s annual report reveals an increase in the length of time to process all types of registration applications

CQC’s annual report published on 20 January 2022 details that its registration target for the year was to improve the timeliness on all application types. However, its annual report reveals that all application types saw increases in the average time taken to complete since April 2020. CQC state that: a simple application takes an average of 21.1 days to complete; a normal application takes 58.4 days; and a complex one 115.2 days on average. It has stated that  “Improving our timeliness and end user experience will continue to be a key area of focus into 2021/22”
