Lisa Clayton

Lisa has a wealth of experience in the industry providing regulatory support and advisory services to care homes, residential nursing homes, mental health hospitals, secure patient transport services and mental health communities.

Lisa has a proven track record in supporting the independent sector. She offers an ongoing service which includes updating policies and supporting documents, implementing organisational governance structures, conducting regular onsite mock inspections and assessing compliance against the Care Quality Commission KLOES’s: Safe, Effective, Responsive, Caring, and Well-led.

Lisa has been commissioned to undertake a number of independent investigations specialising in root cause analysis for serious untoward incidents. She has over 15 years of experience in the industry working with care service providers, CEO’s, directors and clinical teams in both in the private and public sector.

Lisa’s career has included roles as clinical and training lead and managerial and compliance roles in a range of different sectors including acute, rehabilitation, forensic and personality disorder. She has worked as the Director of Hospital Services and has undertaken successful turnaround projects whilst in this role.

As a former inspector at the Care Quality Commission (CQC) Lisa has first-hand experience of evidencing regulatory compliance. As a qualified teacher in violence reduction she was also responsible for the CQC’s guidance on physical and mechanical restraint policies.

As well as running a successful consultancy company, Lisa is the UK Chair and Chief Compliance Officer of an editorial board in the development of a global support network, nursing revalidation and E-learning packages. Lisa is a regularly attendee at various healthcare conferences and has had the pleasure of being the honorary speaker on several occasions.
