Tim Dallinger

Tim has over 30 years’ experience in the social care sector gained as an owner, Registered Manager, social care worker and Responsible Individual for a number of residential care units. Tim has achieved the QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership in Health and Social Care. He is a qualified trainer (PGCE) with 10 years’ experience and offers consultancy services to independent and third sector social care providers across the UK.

Tim works for many local councils to design and deliver innovative social care training and also chairs and presents at conferences and care sector events. Tim’s consultancy work focuses on both business turnaround in the event of an adverse inspection report and also on preventative work through pre-inspection compliance audits. All of the care providers with whom Tim has worked with in a pre-inspection capacity have subsequently been rated as “good” or above by the CQC. All of the care providers rated as “requires improvement” or “inadequate” with whom Tim has worked have improved.

Tim also works with care providers on business development strategies, this includes; tenders, PQQ method statements and costing models. Tim is member of the Institute of Leadership and Management and other consultancy activities include; mentoring for registered managers, review of systems, policies and procedures and care planning. Care planning includes the development of person centred, outcome focussed care plans and risk assessments which meet the needs and preferences of those being supported. Tim’s training work covers all aspects of social care and includes both the design and delivery of training courses at all levels.
