Autumn Webinars

Ridouts will be hosting a series of webinars, which will cover various issues affecting the Adult Social Care sector. During these webinars you will have the opportunity to ask our lawyers for their guidance and advice in relation to each webinar topic.

You can review the topics below and book on to any (or all) of these, using the booking form. We look forward to seeing you there.

Autumn Webinars Schedule 2020

10am-10.45am on Zoom

Ridouts will delve deeper into CQC’s immediate priorities following suspension of inspections in March 2020. Our lawyers will consider what CQC has in store for the next few months with its ‘Transitional Regulatory Approach’ and will contemplate what inspections may look like in the future in light of CQC’s new strategy to be published in 2021. In addition, we will discuss what Providers can do to get the most out of a CQC inspection and explain their options if they get a draft report/rating they are unhappy with.

10am-10.45am on Zoom

During this webinar, Ridouts will consider what the aims of adult safeguarding are and the ways in which providers can deal with safeguarding investigations. The webinar will also cover how safeguarding alerts are considered by a local authority, the meaning of a Section 42 safeguarding enquiry and the risks and consequences of being subjected to a safeguarding investigation.

10am-10.45am on Zoom

Ridouts will consider what the purpose of an inquest is and the ways in which providers might be involved in the inquest process and how to manage it. The webinar will also discuss the potential for civil or criminal claims against a provider as a result of information that emerges during an inquest and the consequences of a Regulation 28 Prevention of Future Deaths Report.

10am-10.45am on Zoom

In the final webinar of the series we invite you, as Providers, to tell us about the topics you would like our panel of experts to cover. We invite you to provide us with the topics in advance which we will deliver short presentations on and then provide an opportunity for follow up Q & A.

Please book your place on any of our webinars using the form below.

I got through to Paul immediately and he told me what to do there and then; I didn’t realise how limited the Local Authority’s powers were.
They are saviours! They rescued my business – they are worth every penny!
You feel that you get both legal advice and consultancy, borne out of many years of dealing with regulators
Caroline came back to me immediately with a high quality, considered response.
I was immediately impressed with Jenny’s knowledge in legal matters and how care homes work at a business level.
I went to their symposium – it was a big investment of time – but it was wonderful – I learnt a lot and like the way they spoke – easy to understand, clear, friendly – I would definitely use them if I needed to – and would absolutely recommend them.
I know for a fact that the CQC fear Ridouts – they know you are taking it seriously if you work with Ridouts.
Knowing they only work for care providers adds trust in them
